STEP 2: PREPARATION FOR IN-MODEL USE

Clean the scan body and the associated screwdriver for use.

CAUTION

The scan body and the analog connection must be

undamaged and free from cast material.

CAUTION

Replace the scan body if any damage, i.e. scratches,

deformation, excessive wear, etc., is detected on

either scan body or system screwdriver.

STEP 3: MOUNTING THE SCAN BODY ON THE IMPLANT

ANALOG IN THE GYPSUM MODEL

Place the scan body on the clean implant analog and rotate

until the interface locks and no further rotational movement is

possible. Use the supplied screwdriver to fix the screw finger-

tight.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

To avoid damage and unnecessary wear, the

recommended mounting torque is 5 N·cm.

CAUTION

The screwdriver does not have torque limitation!

STEP 4: SCANNING WITH THE SCAN BODY IN PLACE

Scan the scan body following the scanner’s instructions for use.

Ensure that the entire surface of the scan body is scanned fully

and without surface gaps, especially the head of the scan body,

both top and sides.

STEP 5: UNMOUNTING THE SCAN BODY

Use the supplied screwdriver to unmount the scan body.

STEP 6: CLEANING AND STORAGE

Clean the scan body and screwdriver, if needed, and place them

back in the storage box.

CAUTION

The scan bodies and associated screwdrivers must

be thoroughly cleaned immediately after use.

FADING

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Towards the end of the scan bodies’ lifespan, a slight

change in the surface appearance can be detected.

The fading is purely visual and has no impact on

product functionality or scan quality.

CAUTION

Replace the scan body if any damage, i.e. scratches,

deformation, excessive wear etc. is detected on

either the scan body or the system screwdriver.

STEP 4: SCANNING WITH THE SCAN BODY IN PLACE

Scan the scan body following the scanner’s instructions for use.

Ensure that the entire surface of the scan body is scanned fully

and without surface gaps, especially the head of the scan body,

both top and sides.

WARNING

Position the patient in such a way that, should the

scan body be dropped or come loose nevertheless,

it will not fall into the patient’s respiratory or

digestive tract.

WARNING

To avoid aspiration or swallowing, always have an

assistant in place with suction equipment ready

for use. In case of swallowing of the scan body

or screwdriver, follow standard procedures and

contact the nearest medical facility.

STEP 5: UNMOUNTING THE SCAN BODY

Use the screwdriver to unmount the scan body.

WARNING

Refer to the IMPORTANT NOTICE, CAUTIONS and

WARNINGS in STEP 3 above.

STEP 6: CLEANING AND STORAGE

Clean the scan body and screwdriver, if needed, and place them

back in the storage box.

WARNING

The scan bodies and associated screwdrivers must

be thoroughly cleaned immediately after use.

IN MODEL USE – STEP BY STEP

STEP 1: SELECTION OF THE SCAN BODY

Select the scan body that matches the implant system and

platform.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Each scan body and screwdriver contain human-

readable markings with a code indicating the

corresponding implant platform and system. The

screwdrivers contain a 2-character system-specific

alphanumeric code, and the scan bodies have an

additional 3rd character referring to the connection

platform.

CAUTION

To avoid damage to the implant analog and

ensure that correct scan data is obtained, it is

recommended that an in-depth knowledge of

preferred systems is obtained, enabling a quick

confirmation of both the connection and the

screwdriver.

CAUTION

Replace the scan body if any damage, i.e. scratches,

deformation, excessive wear, etc., is detected on

either the scan body or the system screwdriver.
